
Dr. Russell Liles
A native West Texan, Dr. Russell Liles was born in Abilene and graduated from Clyde High School. Dr. Liles earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University where he studied Biomedical Science and Business. Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Liles pursued his doctorate in Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry. While attending UHCO he was elected as the social co-chair of his class and enjoyed planning and organizing social events for his fellow optometry classmates. He developed a particular interest in a specialty known as Sports Vision. This interest prompted him to start a Sports Vision organization at UHCO. After graduating from Optometry school Dr. Liles practiced at Kennedy Eyecare in McAlester, Oklahoma for over 3 years. After a long absence from the Big Country Dr. Liles started to miss his family, friends and the quality people of West Texas. He decided to get back to his roots and opened Elite Eyecare with a focus on quality eyecare, great customer service, and sports vision for athletes of all ages. Currently Dr. Liles is an active member in many professional organizations including the American Optometric Association, the AOA Sports Vision Section, and the International Sports Vision Association. Dr. Liles is also involved in several community organizations such as Abilene Young Professionals (AYP), and the Abilene A&M Club. In his spare time Dr. Liles enjoys spending time with his wife, Brooke and son, Liam. During the summer months you can typically catch him at enjoying water sports the lake. His other hobbies include hunting, golfing, listening to live music, traveling, and rooting for the Fightin’ Texas Aggies. (325) 603-2020
